ABOUT THE CONFERENCE-ICCMR 2025
The International Conference on Chemistry in Multidisciplinary Research is a designed to bring together scientists and academicians to reflect on the evolving role of chemistry in addressing global challenges and promoting interdisciplinary collaborations. It aspires to support the NEP’s vision to emulate a globally relevant, research-driven education system that prepares students and researchers to tackle complex, real-world challenges. Moreover, Chemistry is central to achieving many UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as clean water, affordable and clean energy, food security and good health. Therefore, the conference would not only promote chemistry but also showcase the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in solving the complex, interconnected problems of present times.
The Programme of the conference will include invited papers, oral and poster presentations by scientists and research scholars in different sessions to be spread over a period of three days. Dedicated time for lectures by eminent scientists will be an important feature of the Conference.
CONFERENCE THEMES
The conference aims to highlight the diverse ways in which chemistry, in collaboration with other disciplines, contributes to global sustainability. By showcasing cutting-edge research, the event will explore advancements across various fields, including healthcare, environmental sustainability, materials science, and energy.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY
The Department of Chemistry, Nagaland University was established in 1997 at Lumami, Zunheboto district, and has since grown into a centre for advanced learning and research. With a faculty strength of eight, the Department offers both M.Sc. (intake capacity-27) and Ph.D. programme. The Department continuously updates its PG and Ph.D. syllabi to align with contemporary academic developments. Research is a key focus, with 31 Ph.D. degrees awarded so far and 40 scholars currently pursuing their doctoral research, supported by various fellowships such as DST-INSPIRE and NFST, along with the UGC-Non-NET Fellowship for non-funded scholars. The Department houses well equipped research laboratories, has received DST-FIST support twice, and benefits from individual faculty research grants. Faculty members and students regularly publish research in reputed journals, with some works also being patented. The Department organizes national seminars, workshops, career counselling sessions, and study tours to provide holistic academic exposure. A mentoring program ensures that students feel supported throughout their academic journey. Graduates of the Department have successfully secured placements in various institutions, including universities, NITs, colleges, schools as well as prestigious organizations such as UPSC, NPSC etc, reflecting the Department’s commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.

- Candidates are urged to make payment first, and then complete the registration process.
- Once payment has been made, the authors must complete the REGISTRATION FORM and attach the payment receipt.
- The certificate will only be awarded to registered participants.
- Participants will receive confirmation emails once their payment has been verified.
- Registration must be submitted before or on 10th March, 2025.
- Registration fee is non-refundable.
